An uncontested or "absolute" divorce is a legal action severing your marital relationship with your spouse. People who divorce usually do so when all other marital issues have been settled. So it is important to understand this divorce action will bar you from seeking alimony or the division of marital properties in the future. A separation agreement is discussed in detail here. Here I am only seeking preliminary information to start a file. Once I review your answers I will send you additional questions by email concerning your marital assets - what you have and how you intend to divide them.
