An uncontested divorce is for individuals who have been separated a year, completely divided their marital assets/debts, and are not seeking support (alimony) from the spouse. And we encourage you to, if possible, divide any jointly held titles - land, cars - before you divorce. If you need to divide your property and you are on good terms with your spouse the best way to insure the division of your properties is to invest in a separation agreement and incorporate that agreement into your divorce.
We offer two types of uncontested divorces:
1. WE DO IT ALL
You sign, we file your divorce in Buncombe County and handle everything.
Provided you have a good address for your spouse you will not have to go to
court. If you have a separation agreement to incorporate there is an additional
fee.
2. WE DO THE PAPERWORK, YOU GO TO COURT
We prepare your divorce forms and you file and process your action in your
county. Our "self serve" instructions walk you through filing, serving your
spouse, giving notice of hearing and process your divorce judgment. We provide
the customized paperwork for each step of the process, even the letters you
need.
Which is better?
Divorce filing fees (no prior name) are currently $225. Service by certified
mail is an additional $5. So to process a divorce by yourself will cost a
minimum of $230 and require at least three (3) trips to the courthouse. We
charge a total of $360 and you do not have to go to court. Also if you do not
own LAND you can process your divorce in BUNCOMBE county no matter what North
Carolina county you reside in.

We create a file from your data and prepare your documents for the type of
divorce you want. We quickly send you an email with additional instructions to
